Choosing your SIM Only tariff
Virgin previously offered both 30-day and 12-month contracts but now look to give customers even greater value through their 30 day contracts. With a Virgin SIM Only deal you’re guaranteed to get one of the best plans for your mobile phone. And with a wide choice of SIM Only plans, there’s bound to be one that’s exactly what you’re after
All Virgin tariffs come with a minimum of unlimited texts - on average, that’s over 83 texts per day! Are you a Virgin broadband, mobile or TV customer? There are very good tariffs on offer, from just £5 p/mth. Even if you aren't, Virgin Mobile’s SIM Only deals are still some of the cheapest around. Their basic £7 p/mth contract includes 150 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data – perfect if you use your mobile for quick calls and prefer messaging.
Are you a Smartphone or BlackBerry user?
Virgin has introduced BlackBerry packages that include between 1GB and unlimited data, with BB services such as BlackBerry email and messenger, and unlimited texts too. These plans start from just £7.
What about Internet?
Virgin uses the T-Mobile and Orange network known as Everything Everywhere, which is reliable and fast. With unlimited data on selected tariffs, Virgin surely offers some of the best data deals available today.
SIM Only Contract’s top tip:
For just £12 p/mth, Virgin has a great all-round plan with 1200 minutes of cross network talk time, unlimited texts and 1GB of web data. That’s enough for regular calls to friends and family and more than enough data to surf the web, check emails and use your favourite social networking websites too.
Our editor says:
With a Virgin SIM Only, you get the same great monthly mixes of talk time and texts as that of their contract deals, you can talk and text to any UK network in the UK anytime, and you’re not tied in to a long-term contract.
I like: With Virgin, you can roll over unused minutes to the next month for one month.
I don’t like: Unfortunately there are no Nano SIMs for iPhone 5 users.
