Virgin use to offer both 30 day and 12 month contracts but it seems that they are now focusing on providing customers with even greater value via their 30 day contracts. There is also more variety that makes sure there is a SIM only plan designed for a variety of users.
More recently, Virgin has introduced BlackBerry packages which include between 250MB and 500MB of data and you can also use BB services such as BlackBerry email and messenger. These plans start from just £10.99 and include 5000 texts as well. Unfortunately there are no customised deals for iPhone 4 or 4S users as yet however you can use a the standard SIM card for the 3G or 3GS or alternatively cut the SIM to a Micro SIM size.
With a Virgin SIM only deal you are guaranteed to get one of the best plans for your mobile phone. All the tariffs available come with a minimum of 2500 texts which is on average, over 83 texts per day! There are also very cheap tariffs on offer and these start from just £5 a month if you are an existing broadband, mobile or TV customer. Even if you aren't an existing customer you can still take advantage of one of the cheapest SIM only deals around. This is a £8.99 a month contract that includes 75 minutes and 2500 texts. This will be ideal for those of you who just use your mobile for quick calls and maybe prefer messaging instead. Either way it's a great way to save money as well if you are looking to cut back on your spending.
With regards to data, Virgin uses T-Mobiles 3G network and will soon be able to use Oranges as well. This looks like it will be planned for 2012 but in the mean time there is still a reliable and fast network in place. With 2.5GB of data available on selected tariffs, these are some of the best data offerings around.
