As you will know by now the iPhone 4 is unique in many ways but the feature that sets it apart from every other smartphone out there is that it utilises a micro-SIM card instead of a normal one. This means that you have two options to get a SIM card for your phone. You can either order an micro-SIM or you can cut a normal one down to size. This is probably a good time to state that unless you feel confident about doing the latter without destroying it then it is probably easier and more hassle-free to buy it or ask for a replacement SIM card from your network provider.

The selection of SIM only plans available on the iPhone 4 is actually quite limited despite the product having been released well over a year ago and now with the iPhone 4S on the market.

The main providers you can purchase the Micro-SIM card online with are now Vodafone, Three and Orange. These networks make the process smooth and relatively simple however, if you are looking to get one on T-Mobile or O2 then you will have to ring them up or visit them in your local store.

Pick of the Bunch

Three Mobile have possibly the best tariff on the market right now with the One Plan and All You Can Eat Data packaged with it and they have been savvy enough to make this available for on a Micro SIM for iPhone 4 users as well. As you will see from the above table, it is an awesome pay monthly tariff that is the perfect fit for every smartphone user. Use as much Internet data as you like and don't worry about exceeding a limit. There are also enough minutes and texts to keep you busy too. If the £25 a month price tag isn't quite within your budget then there is also a £15 a month option on Three that gives you 300 minutes, 3000 texts and 1GB of data.

The next best tariffs are available on Vodafone. These are the same as the normal iPhone tariffs that they display on the site however, to get the SIM that you need for your phone you will have to select the Micro SIM card option as you proceed to the checkout so make sure you don't miss this part out by accident.

The data options available on Vodafone aren't quite in the same league as 3 at the moment however 500MB is normally quite sufficient for the average smartphone user.
