Choosing a £20 SIM only price plan is great for moderate to heavy mobile phone talkers. As with the lower tariffs, opting one of these plans will certainly save you money if you are coming off of an expensive iPhone contract or other long-term mobile contract. What's even better is that you're likely to be getting more for you money, particularly if you opt for a 12 month contract.
In this range there are also some good deals to be picked up on 30 day contracts too with Virgin now offering 2.5GB of data on one of their plans. This is a super deal if you are a in-between deciding what new phone to get or waiting for a new smartphone to come out.
With the 12-month contracts however, you can get up to 900 minutes of talk time and this is normally more than enough for the average user. 900 minutes for only £20 a month is excellent value for money in our opinion and it's certainly worth it in the long term.
Like with most of the tariffs above and below this price you can get 3000+ texts, that's roughly 100 texts every day of the month!
Pick of the bunch
The best 30 day deal has to go to Virgin Mobile. Their new tariff offers a whopping 2.5GB of data and this surpasses Three Mobile's 1GB with relative ease. The two networks match each other for minutes at 600 minutes but Three do provide you with 500 more texts.
Vodafone's online exclusive of 3 months at 50% off on a 12 month contract is available on these tariffs saving you £30.75 during that time. Averaging that our over the course of the year works out at a tariff cost of £17.93 a month through the year. This is a more significant saving than you would get on the lower end plans and you could look at getting other add-ons for a few months or even treat yourself to something else!
Moving on to the 12 month contracts, there are several attractive plans from Vodafone which are designed to suit smartphone, Blackberry and iPhone users. The iPhone tariff in particular provides a similar amount of minutes, texts and data that you might have been receiving on your original contract but at a lower cost.
If you are an existing Orange user and happy to remain with the network, they have an one of the only 18 month SIM only plans available. In terms of minutes and data it isn't quite as competitive as the other networks so we recommend looking at alternatives.
Also, don't forget that T-Mobile offer a FREE flexible booster including either data, unlimited texts, unlimited landline and international calls so this could be a crucial factor in finding the right SIM only for your needs!
