The £15 price plan bracket is another money saving option that all mobile users should consider. There is certainly a wider choice of tariffs to choose from and the improvement in value for money is evident in the numbers with most of them offering more than double the number of minutes than the £10 SIM only for only £5 extra!
There are both 1 and 12 month contracts available with between 300 and 600 minutes of call time. This is great for low to moderate users. With all bar a couple of networks offering near unlimted texts, this price range is one of the most popular and there are also a few more plans that offer a free data allowance compared the cheaper tariffs, namely from Vodafone and Three.
It's also worh noting here that as the tariff ranges go up, so does the VAT paid. Networks like Three have kept their prices constant throughout the last update to from 17.5% to 20% so their tariffs are more attractive.
In our opinion £15 is a sensible amount to be spending on your mobile phone bill and there is exceptional value available if you opt for a SIM only term of 12 months.
Pick of the bunch
The stand-out tariffs in the £15 SIM only contract range are offered by Three. These are featured on a 30-day or 12 month contract and both come with 3000 texts as well as 1GB of data. Minutes wise, you get 300 and 600 minutes respectively. This is a superb deal and certainly one of the most popular amongst smartphone and iPhone users. Let's also not forget that you get a FREE PAYG SIM to give to a friend or family member.
One of the latest promotions is from Vodafone who are offering 3 Months Half Price on all of their 12 month plans. Here you save £23.25 on your contract and this averages out to just over £13 a month through the year. Vodafone also offer a number of online exclusive extras with their packages including free Voda to Voda calls and 100 free picture messages on separate tariffs so choose carefully.
There are still some competitive products from O2, Orange and T-Mobile with the latter giving a little more talking at 350 minutes in addition to a free flexible booster of your choice.
